I can confidently say that the images I captured throughout 2023, are among some of my absolute favorites. The connections formed with my clients and the collaborative vision we shared resulted in art that I am immensely proud of.

For this session, I once again hopped on a flight to North Carolina to hang with my Fearlessly Feminine Durham babes.  Miss S’s series of in-the-sheet images are breathtaking but it was her face when I showed her what it’s like peering through my lens that was pure magic.  It’s moments like these that make being a boudoir photographer so fulfilling.

Why did you choose to do a Fearlessly Feminine shoot?
I was at a challenging point in my life; I needed to feel good about myself, my body, and my expression. A few friends had done boudoir shoots and spoke to how empowered they felt, so I started to search for a photographer near me. Alisha’s style is exactly what I was looking for: artistic, beautiful, and versatile. Her portfolio is stunning, and many former clients speak so highly of her–it made the decision to book with her easy, and I’m so glad I did!

What was your favorite part of the experience?

It’s hard to decide on my favorite part—the shoot itself was such a fantastic experience. But I think being absolutely floored by my photos might win out. I was stunned when I walked through the images with Alisha. I have never felt more beautiful and sexy in my life. For someone who has had issues with self-esteem and self-image, it was SUCH an incredible gift to see myself that way!

How did your boudoir session make you feel?

I felt so confident and empowered during my boudoir session. I was surprised that I didn’t feel self-consicious at all (I was expecting to); Alisha did such a great job making me feel comfortable, I could let myself be and feel sexy and free.

Would you do another Fearlessly Feminine shoot?

In a heartbeat!

Would you recommend a session like this to anyone else? If so, who?

Absolutely, and I already have to two of my close friends. They are seriously considering it after seeing my photos!

What did you do to prepare for the shoot?

I tried on a lot of different outfits and I was honest with myself about how I felt in them: if I had any concerns or considerations at all, I didn’t buy it. I only chose pieces that made me feel great. I also paid extra attention to my skincare routine, got a pedicure, and freshened up my hair. I think being intentional about how I felt about myself made a big difference going into the shoot.

What image was your favorite?

The photo in the black bodysuit, with my hand on my head, looking into the camera, with my hair wild—I honestly cannot believe that is me, and I honestly have never loved a photo of myself more. I want to plaster it all over the internet, everywhere, forever! 🙂

What products did you decide on? Are you happy with your choice?

I chose an album with 20 images, high-res downloads (I ended up with 24 images), the mobile app, and wall art. I am super happy with my choice.
