This babe came in the week of her wedding and the FF crew was here for it! I love any excuse to get more use out of your wedding accessories. Who says you can only wear your veil down the aisle? We love our boudoir brides!

Choosing a makeup look is part of the fun of a Fearlessly Feminine Session and Steph totally crushed this babe’s makeup, the bold lip was my fav! This bride was so much fun and knows how to embrace the self-love party we throw! We had the perfect girl’s day!

Why did you choose to do a Fearlessly Feminine shoot?

I’m going to be honest here, I had several reasons I really wanted to do this shoot. I wanted to do the shoot as a wedding present for my husband-to-be. Being spontaneous and surprising Beau is hard to do, so I knew a photo album and pictures I can print off and hide places for him to find would definitely catch him off guard. Another reason I chose to do the shoot is that I lost about 40 pounds last year. I really lost a lot of my confidence and self-love since high school and wanted to show myself that I am beautiful and should be proud of how far I have come and enjoy the body I have created. Ultimately, I hope that my confidence can inspire another girl to take the jump and have a shoot too. Finally, I knew several ladies that have done shoots and raved about the experience with Alisha. Add that to the other two reasons and I had to jump at the opportunity!

What was your favorite part of the experience?

It’s so hard to pick one part that was my favorite because the whole experience is a blast. The music, the hair and makeup, the different outfits, the poses, the different settings, Alisha’s coaching and compliments all make you feel like a star. I beautiful star too. But if I had to choose one, I really loved getting my hair and makeup professionally done! I think there’s something special about someone making that dream look happen for you. The last time my hair and makeup was done for me was my senior pictures for high school. I also cherished being able to use my wedding accessories for the shoot too! Having pictures besides the professional wedding photos with the veil, shoes, necklace and earrings make those items even more meaningful.

How did your boudoir session make you feel?

I felt like a 20 on a scale of 1-10! I felt confident, bold, fearless and empowered to be MYSELF. Imagine arriving to a party late and turning every head in the room as you walk to grab your first drink for the night or walking the red carpet at a Hollywood awards show. Flawless doesn’t even come close to the feeling you have after your session. I highly recommend setting up a fancy dinner reservation and wearing one of your favorite shoot outfits out with your man that night or setting up a candlelit dinner for two at home. If you feel like a stunner, imagine what your other half will think when you walk in the door that night.

Would you do another Fearlessly Feminine shoot?

Absolutely! It would be a dream to do a destination boudoir session in the future! Vacation is supposed to be a fun and relaxing time and a boudoir session would make an incredible experience abroad even more memorable. I would even do a studio session again! The outfits possibilities are endless and you can change up the poses. Alisha caters to the experience you want to have and vision you have for your photos. I’m ready to start my next Pinterest board now!

What did you do to prepare for the shoot?

I created a secret Pinterest board with my ideas and shared it with Alisha so she could see my vision for my shoot. I shopped for outfits that I thought would accentuate my assets and fit my style. I think having that variety of outfits is key. I also took baths with bath bombs, bubbles and essential oils to help relax. I added candles and calming music and turned the lights down. I also used sugar scrubs to help create that baby soft skin. I did get a mani/pedi because I rarely ever do and thought I deserved it for the shoot, but I kept it simple with a french design. I also used a lip scrub and chapstick more before the shoot too. I kept my facial routine the same; cleanse twice a day, exfoliate and moisturize. I had my hair trimmed a few days before as well as my eyebrows waxed. The day before I just made sure I shaved, relaxed and had all my outfits/accessories ready. On the morning of the shoot, I did my usually facial routine and wore loose clothes like my favorite sweat pants. I love music so I also turned on an empowering girls Spotify playlist to jam to on the way to Evansville.

Would you recommend a session like this to anyone else? If so, who?

I would highly recommend this session to all my closest friends. I want them to feel the same way I did that day and have felt since. I would also recommend it to all my girls who may not have a significant other right now and struggle to see how much they are worth. A session like this one has a way of reigniting a self-love everyone needs to feel again. If you’re someone who is looking for a fun gift and has lots of confidence, it’s also a great wedding, anniversary, birthday, Christmas and Valentine’s Day present for the hubby.

What image was your favorite?

Oh gosh, all of them! No really, Alisha did an ah-mazing job with all these shots that its so hard to choose. However, I am obsessed with a couple. My absolutely favorite is a in-the-sheets shot from the side. I have my right hand in my hair and you can see my tattoo and my arm birthmark. I think that picture catches the marks that make me who I am. I also really like the photo in the dark walled bedroom on the bed with my tush in the air with my hands at the end of the bed and I’m looking right at the camera; I really think that photo is fierce.

What products did you decide on? Are you happy with your choice?

I got the Savvy package! I added all of the digital images a la carte as well. I loved my choice. I got all the images so I can print them as needed, like if I want to surprise Beau with hidden pictures every now and then. The album is priceless in and of itself. I think its amazing quality and I love that I got to choose what pictures went in it for my husband. The USB for all the digital pictures was even pretty! Love, love, love everything!
