Miss M absolutely radiated a #selflove glow by the time we were finished shooting! She took the first anniversary gift of paper to the next level with a beautiful boudoir album for her husband. Documenting her strength and her beauty was important to her, and the investment will last for years to come.
Read on to take in her gorgeous images and learn more about why she booked a Fearlessly Feminine session and how she felt about her experience!
Why did you choose to do a Fearlessly Feminine shoot?
The traditional first wedding anniversary gift is paper. I wanted to step that up a notch. My husband is one of the most loving men I know, and I wanted to give him something that I knew he would appreciate. Additionally, if I’m being honest, I wanted to have pictures of myself now, so that when we’re older, we can look back and appreciate how beautiful and strong I once was.
What was your favorite part of the experience?
The whole “Fearlessly Feminine” experience was so enjoyable, I could not choose only one part. Starting my morning with Kana Brown made me feel fierce. As I was getting my hair done, Hanna Williams talked me up so much that I’m not sure which was bigger: my hair or my ego. When I got to Alisha’s house, I was blown away by how professional, yet relaxed, the environment felt. She could tell I was nervous but spoke to me like she had known me forever. While the posing took me a little bit to fully understand, she never gave up and never made me feel like I wasn’t capable of being sexy.
How did your boudoir session make you feel?
This boudoir session made me feel not only beautiful and sexy, but strong. It helped me become more confident in my body. Sitting in Alisha’s home, looking at the final products, made me realize just how wonderful my body really is. Every stretch mark, every scar, just makes it even more beautiful. Real is beautiful.
Would you do another Fearlessly Feminine shoot?
I would do another boudoir shoot in a heart beat! As a mid-twenty young professional, money can be difficult to stretch but I do not regret spending it on my shoot. I like to think of it as an investment that only gets better with age.
Would you recommend a session like this to anyone else?
If so, who? I would recommend a boudoir shoot to anyone needing a boost of confidence, a gift to their significant other, or just a beautiful piece of tasteful art to display in their home.
What image was your favorite?
There is a picture of myself standing in the doorway, slightly looking back towards the camera. The moment I saw it, I knew it needed to be printed and framed. The strength displayed was beautiful.
What did you do to prepare for the shoot?
In hindsight , I wish I would have taken my exercise a little more seriously leading up to the shoot ONLY because some of the poses were difficult to hold! By the end of the shoot, my back looked GREAT! I spent a month looking for lingerie and outfits I thought would be flattering for pictures. The week leading up to the shoot, I focused on clean eating and cutting out soda. I gave myself a weekend getaway the weekend before the shoot and got a mani/pedi and body scrub from Fusion Spa.
What products did you decide on? Are you happy with your choice?
I chose the Savvy Collection with the 8×8 album. For an anniversary gift, I think it’s perfect. For future shoots, I would love to splurge to the Flawless Collection.
